On Ayacko record I stand with Masara, governor needs to man up in development- Mijungu

Migori senator candidate in last general elections Billy Mijungu has thrown his political weight behind Suna West MP Peter Masara over county leadership remarks.

Mijungu took to social media to support Masara who had faulted governor Ochillo Ayacko development record as governor.

“After 10 years of governor Obado, this current administration of Ochilo has fallen way short,” Mijungu said.

Mijungu said Masara is a man worth standing with, for and by.

“When people falter, are lukewarm and unavailable he (Masara) does the opposite, the unthinkable and poignantly, he takes the long difficult road,” he said

Over the weekend, Masara chided Ayacko for failing to deliver on development record and instead he has been antagonising leaders.

Mijungu said Masara has a development record from being a councillor, mayor and rwice as a Member of Parliament just goes to show his wealth of knowledge of the needs of Migori People.

“Clearly he has the pulse of the County. As an Independent MP he pushed literacy levels in Suna to greater heights, building tens of schools from scratch and Improving existing ones, even going as far as equipping them, complete with School Buses,” Mijungu said.

Mijungu said on the other Ayacko, has nothing to show for receiving billions of devolved funds despite holding the same office for over a year.

“If not for national government projects, Ayacko has nothing to show,” he said.

He said all Migori has to show off is national government affordable housing, eight markets earmarked for building, operationalizing of Migori Airstrip by Ministry of Roads & Transport and heavy marketing by celebrity Akothee.

Others are Ministry of Trade’s County Aggregation Industrial Parks.

“While all Counties have cleared pending bills, Migori hasn’t. While we can see notable huge, visible achievements in Homa-Bay, in Migori we don’t have any,” Mijungu added.

“As for us and our houses we shall support Nyakwar Otuoma for Governor and it can only be in 2027,” he added.
