Ogwedhi man killed, two injured in sore mercury deal

Ogwedhi man has been killed while two people were injured in a allegedly mercury business gone sore.
The two were attacked by people who had solicited Sh40,000 down payment from them claiming that they have a mercury deposit and they wanted to sell the precious mineral to the victims

Pheny Achieng, the deceased’s wife, said her husband left yesterday evening together with other two people to meet the person who claim to be having mercury deposit.
“Among the suspects was the owner of the land and they were to extract the mineral when the fateful incident occurred,” she said.

Ndonyo location chief Samuel Mugut from Narok county and his counterpart William Jabedo in charge of Remo sb- location launched joint investigations to arrest the suspects.
The deceased, Benson Ochieng sustained serious cuts and he died at the scene of the incident
