ODM puts Migori executive on the spot over poor service delivery

ODM MCAs in Migori county assembly has placed the executive on notice over below par delivery of services.

Assembly Majority Leader Richard Solo has put on notice County Executive Committee members who are not delivering to the expectation of the people of Migori County.
Solo said some CEC who have done nothing in their docket since they were appointed.

“ODM as the opposition in Migori county government will take up their oversight role vibrantly and will lay off lazy executives,” he said.

He said Migori county is yet to realize the fruit of devolution fully because the implementers are not up to their task.
“We will compel them to work by playing our oversight role,” he said.

He challenged the members of CORD coalition in the assembly to undertake their role as the opposition and streamline the operations of the county government as expected by exercising   their oversight role without favor or being compromised.

The majority leaders asserted that the MCAs has a role to play for the people of Migori County and he will do it to the end without intimidation or fear.

The county legislator has also called on the public to participate in public forums organized by the county assembly so that they can air their views on issues of budget, laws among others.
