Obuya Achola

Former Contracts Manager [ East Africa Region) for Sogea Satom of France and Gulsan Insaat of Turkey has bowed to public pressure to come back home to serve Migori county.

Obuya Achola, a cool, calm, collected and a level headed man who has worked successfully with international companies wants to be the county next speaker.

He is well established engineer with very strong grassroots networks from Suna East.

He is a successful top manager with proven positive outcomes, he was the deputy project manager for Mai Mahiu Naivasha Lanet Road and currently the Contract Manger for Merille River Marsabit a major trunk road linking Kenya and Ethiopia.

Speaking to I got it News, Achola said he is clearly the lead contender for the speaker as he has influence in most sub Counties in Migori County .

“I will do my best to help Migori County and will ensure that there is accountability and the assembly will perform its actual oversight role. I will stand up to defend the common man” he said.

He is a civil engineering graduate from Newcastle University Australia.
