OBADO: I will champion for ODM in Migori

By MN Reporter

Governor Zachary Obado has declared himself the patron for ODM in Migori just weeks after his defection from PDP.

Speaking on Saturday during a fundraiser for ODM, Uriri branch in Uriri, Obado said that Raila Odinga who is the national ODM patron has bestowed powers in him during MP Junet’s homecoming rally on July 8.

Obado who has been under pressure and sharp criticism as a Jubilee mole publicly declared his defection to ODM at the rally where Odinga accepted him to the party.

His defection saw him be given an ODM cap and “powers” he said he was going to use to strengthen ODM in the county.

Obado called on all those who were going to vie on ODM ticket in the coming general election to come for “baptism and blessings” as he now has the powers.

“Let them now come for blessings just like the ones I got from Raila at Migori stadium the other day, this is essential for the strengthening of the party,” Obado said.

The Migori governor lashed out at his opponents saying they had chickened out after he was welcomed to the party.

He also castigated them for not attending functions organized and aimed at strengthening the party, like the Uriri ODM fundraiser, challenging them to stand firm with the party.

MP’s John Kobado, Uriri and Joseph Ndiege, Suna West who were present at the function, among other ODM county officials, also endorsed Obado as the patron.
