Residents of Odendo village, Karungu division in Nyatike constituency are riling in shock after a 21 years old fisherman committed suicide.

The body of Bernard Otieno was found at the shores of Lake Victoria with a rope around his neck by villagers.

Steve Ochieng, the deceased’s brother said he had protracted marital problem with his wife who had ran away to stay with her relatives.

“He committed suicide following a disagreement between him and his wife who left him some days ago and has been staying with her relatives,” he said.

He said the deceased had left for fishing and never came back home.

The body was collected by Nyatike police and was taken to Migori Referral Mortuary..
