Nyamita leads 7 MCAs from Obado’s Uriri backyard to attend ODM meeting amid Ouster

While Migori governor Okoth Obado was leading a special prayer against his ouster bid at Lwanda Rapogi SDA church, his backyard was attending a meeting to pace up the bid.

Uriri MP Mark Nyamita led a team of seven MCAs for the ODM delegates meeting in Maranatha Grounds in Migori town, with only one MCA from Uriri sticking with Obado.

Obado hails from Uriri constituency, and skipped the Maranatha meeting making the move from his backyard to be receive with wild cheers from over 600 delegates who attended.

“Our church is ODM and when our head priest calls for us to take the Lord’s supper we have to oblige,” Nyamita said.

He said as Uriri leaders they will stand with the ODM party leadership.

He was accompanied by a total of seven MCAs: Graham Kagali (South Kanyamkago), George Omamba (North Kanyamkago), Bon Oremo (East Kanyamkago), Peter Mijungu (West Kanyamkago), Grace Oyamo (Nominated) and Florence Oile (Nominated).

“Nominated MCA Clarence Oyoo is absent with apology, but she will stand with the party,” Nyamita said.

Only Central Kanyamkago MCA Alex Akugo did not turn up for the meeting, and has vowed to stand with Obado in earlier Facebook posts.
