Angry Orange Democratic Movement supporters from Migori county stormed local IEBC offices as their leader Raila Odinga was teargassed by police in Nairobi.

ODM county chairperson Makabong’o, a section of MCAs and local activists led the crowd that first marched through Migori town before heading to IEBC offices carrying placards castigation commissioners.

They said they were in solidarity with Cord leaders.

“How dare the police throw tear-gas at Raila? These people are panicking because we are now registering. We are not ready to go to election with Isaac Hassan at the helm of IEBC.” Makabong’o said.

He said IEBC is not a commission but a party “just like Jubilee, it is another party that is opposing CORD .”

Acting speaker Boaz Okoth (North Kadem) led other MCAS George Omamba (North Kanyamkago), George Ombori (Suna Central) and Jay Gucha (Kakrao) joined the march.

Migori County Commander David Kirui helped provide security to avoid the mob attacking IEBC offices.

“We are here to ensure peace prevails and the office is not interfered with”, Kirui said.
