Migori county group of teen mothers have embarked on a move to fight Covid 19 in the area.

The group, under Teen Mums CBO has embarked in making homemade soaps and face masks to help reach for the poor by putting in volunteer work by 200 girls and young mothers skills.

The head of the CBO Reagan Otieno aid they taught the group skills after “supply for soaps and facemasks stalled over high supply while prices shot through the roof,” to offer alternatives after the virus was first confirmed in Kenya.

The group sells a face mask and a 500 ml of soap for Sh10-30 each.

“When we sell our item we also thrive to educate the public on the best way to compliment the fight by working with government directives like curfew and use of masks in public spaces,” Otieno said.
