Migori County Assembly took time to discuss and send messages of condolences to the family and friends of the late senator Ben Oluoch Okello.

The County Assembly in its afternoon session led by deputy speaker George Omamba eulogized the late senator as a social person who called upon the people of Migori County to embrace unity.

The minority leader and Tagare member of the County Assembly Nicholas Rioba said that the death of the late senator and former radio journalist should be an eye opener to the remaining leadership to help fast track the installation of the modern cancer equipment in Migori hospitals to help in the testing and cure of the deadly disease.

All the members of the county assembly who spoke on the floor of the house said that the county has lost an able member of the senate who embraced peace, love and unity.

Migori County speaker Boaz Okoth said after the session that the late has died even before he could get time to address the assembly.

He said that since the late was elected he has never set foot at the assembly’s plenary due to the sickness that derailed his health.
