Divers remove the body of the woman from river Migori

Shock gripped Migori town residents after a decomposing body of a man was pulled from river Migori at Apida estate.

County police said they have 1launched investigation into the death of the man who is yet to be identified.

Migori OCPD Gladys Rutere said the decomposing body was discovered by residents who called them.

Rutere said they are yet to establish the cause of his death, saying that the police have opened an inquest that will help them identify the man and the cause of his death.

The body was taken to Migori level four hospital mortuary waiting for autopsy as the public have been asked to avail information to help identify the man.
