As the country is waking up to the reality and news about ‘sponsors’, a man in Migori county is not willing to take chances as his wife goes missing, allegedly to be with another man.

The man who was referred to as John treated onlookers to a rare spectacle at Posta grounds, Migori town when he accused a certain young woman of facilitating the disappearance of his wife.

John, a bodaboda rider, said the unnamed lady had linked his wife to another man making her walkout of their marriage.

According to another rider, Dan Magaya, the enraged man had been lamenting since he got to their stage at 8 AM, at Posta grounds, which was not a normal occurrence with him.

It is after he was confronted by his colleagues that he opened up saying his wife had suspectedly run away.

“He looked disturbed and cursed severally as he mumbled words to himself. It is after asking him what the problem was that he disclosed the suspected disappearance of his wife,” Magaya said.

It is then that the woman at the centre of the alleged run-away appeared around the bodaboda stage that John confronted her fiercely demanding she discloses the location of his wife.

“Where is Akinyi? Why have you conspired to finish me? You are going to know my real colours,”John shouted at the top of his voice.

But the lady who appeared to be in her early 20’s looked in amazement trying to decipher what the man was saying.

In a splinter, the obviously enraged man attacked the lady who had said nothing yet and grabbed her by the neck.

“What do you mean I must produce your wife? Please don’t kill me yet am not aware of what you are saying,” the lady said amid chocks as she was gasping for breath.

John said: “I have been monitoring your movements alongside my wife’s. Where does that man who is ‘eating’ my money with your aunt live?”

John who turned out to be the lady’s uncle laid claim that his wife had made away with his savings of sh. 80,000, money he had been saving to buy his own motorcycle.

Bodaboda riders who, all this time were watching at a safe distance, were forced to intervene due to the cruel manner the lady was being handled.

“We thought you had a serious issue, but it turns out you are a serious jocker. How can your niece who is this young hide your wife let alone connect her to another man?” A rider asked.

Another rider was also hard castigating John for being the source of his woes.

“We are aware that you have an insatiable appetite for women and as we speak you have been frequenting houses of some other three married women. Serves you right,” an anonymous voice from a crowed that had quickly gathered shouted.

However, the lady defended herself from the accusations saying she had been away in a neighbouring country for the better part of the month.

“I was away in Uganda and am shocked when someone says that he has been monitoring me over the month. Am I a ghost to be in two places at a go?” the lady asked amid tears.

The man who couldn’t imagine his wife with another man could not stand the large crowd, forcing him to ride away at top speed embarrassed.
