Macalder police arrest colleague who broke inside OCS office, stole 14 bullets and marijuana

An armed police officer on Monday with armed youths along Kuria-Luo border after three people were innjured during clashes

Nyatike sub-county police are holding a colleague who broke into Macalder Police station OCS office and stole bullets and Mariuana.

Nick Kimathi Ndegwa is suspected to have broken into the office on January 25, and carted away the items to his house in area Administration Police quarters.

Officers who suspected him trailed him to his house and found “14 rounds of 7.62MM special ammunition and 80 ros of canabis sativa of unknown value.”

The drugs were said to have been for use as evidence in ongoing court cases.

He was arraigned in court.
