Kakaro Chief Gorety Duya has vowed to intensify security over rising cases of theft in the location.

This is after several cases of theft were reported and several houses broken into by a gang that has been terrorizing the area over the past two months.

Gorety who is on acting capacity urged residents of the Suna North Location to help in curbing the theft and restore peace.

The chief linked the rising insecurity on drug abuse adding that she was going to launch a crackdown on those selling chang’a in the area.

She said she was also going to impose a curfew in the area and any one found loitering, drunk and disorderly past 7pm will be arrested by a vigilante group similar to ‘Zungu Zungu.’.

She was speaking in Magina village during the burial of the wife to the late former Kakrao Councilor Joram Omollo Ondeto.
