A female Migori county government worker bit more than she could chew when she was pulled from a matatu, stripped naked and assaulted by a colleague over a debt.

She was stripped naked at a bus terminus while heading to their Awasi rural home when she failed to pay Sh1,300 she had borrowed from her estranged colleague last month.

The woman borrowed money for Christmas bash after complaining the festive season had found her broke.

“The middle aged women was complaining over the manner she was approached, but she was pulled from the matatu with blows by her colleague,” Tom Rachuonyo, who writes for People Daily told Migori News,

Rachuonyo who was also traveling in the same matatu to Rongo said he was tourched when the semi naked woman started wailing calling for mercy, attracting a big crowd.

“She explained amid sobs that she was not able to repay the money as promised due to high cost of living and what she earned last month was not sufficient to cater for her financial obligations,” Rachuonyo said.

Rachuonyo said he led an impromptu funds drive which raised Sh1,800 used to repay the debt in full anb buy clothes for the embarrassed county employee.

“She was taken to a mabati kiosk and given mitumba clothes we bought for her before she was ushered in the matatu to continue with her journey,” Rachuonyo said.

The attacker upon receiving her money vanished into thin air with a satisfied grin in her face.
