Senior Counsel Kennedy Okong’o and a WhatsApp group have given pupils at Ageng’a Primary School in Migori county will have something to smile about after a social media contribution helped them get seven new modern classrooms.

During sports tournament in the school mid last years, some members of the public took photos of crumbling walls and dilapidated classrooms at the school and shared on social media.

Around August when the photos gained traction, Okong’o said he brought several lorries of sand, ballast and procured cement from local hardware to start construction.

His gesture attracted attention from members of the public including his social circles which prompted him to start a WhatsApp group ‘Ageng’a Primary School- Regeneration Project’ for help on construction.
