End police brutality in Migori- Three legislators

Three Migori leaders have condemned the rampant extrajudicial killings that have been witnessed in the county of Migori in the recent past.

Addressing the press at different functions, Uriri member of parliament Mark Naymita,nominated member of parliament Denittah Ghati and Kuria East legislator Marwa Kitayama said that the police should stop extrajudicial killings that have been witnessed in different parts of Migori County and the country at large.

“The police have been trigger happy and we want the Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet and Migori County commander to take up the matter and help get the family get justice, “they said.

The legislators said that the police have trigger happy and recently one youth Fredrick Onyango Omondi, 20 years old was shot by police under unclear circumstances.

Kuria East legislators Marwa Kitayama and Denittah Ghati said that another man was shot by a police officer in Kegonga and condemned the act saying the police must respect the rights of the citizens and do proper arrests in the best way possible.
