Migori county legislators have been told to avoid clinging on projects funded by county government and passing them as their own in public rallies.

The County executive member of Roads Moses Chamwada told Migori News that he was shocked when a member of parliament in Migori County deceived his electorates by pointing out county projects promising of other service delivery.

“Migori county government projects have been launched after public participation and are done openly and we urge residents to put legislators on their toes,” Chamwada said.

He also said the Sh180million road tarmacking project launched last year June from Posta-County government-Ombo route will be accomplished in two months time.

The CEC member said that 2km road from Posta grounds to county commissioner’s residential will be ready for use in two weeks time asking the residents to be patient.

He explained that tarmacking the said 4km road will take exactly eight months as promised by the governor Zachary Okoth Obado during the launch despite the unpredictable weather patterns experienced in the county.
