The Migori county public service board has rolled out an audit of all workers in the county through departments.

Hon. Jared Kopiyo, the board chairman told Migori News that the audit will cover all the departments and will cut across many issues with mopping out ghost workers being key.

“Migori had issues of ghost workers or real audit of casual worker, we will ensure each staff is verified across each department,” he saud.

He said the report will help in streamline work and service delivery in the county.

“We will finish the report before the end of the year and share it with governor Okoth Obado who is our chief officer and the assembly,” Kopiyo said.

He said the Human resource audit will help reverse mentality that the county government is only a place where people come to draw salaries.

“We want workers to know what they are meant to do and if their supervisors are keen in gauging then on their renumeration, this will improve service delivery to wananchi,” he said.

He said the report will also ensure chain of command, communication among workers and wananchi across all 40 wards seeking services from county government will be seamless.

“The report will help us in advising the county governments to HR services and improvement area to cover any loopholes found and strengthen good points,” Kopiyo said.

He said the report will help outline demographics like gender, age, tribe, region and those with disabilities.
