Central Kamagambo MCA aspirant David Ligawa has challenged Migori county government to ensure Kabuoro Sub – location residents are employed at the new Siala Institute.

Speaking at a funeral in Nyarach, Ligawa said that when Rongo University college was opened, youths from the region were promised jobs yet that was not considered.

“When Siala institute begins to function, the county government must consider employing local youths first,” he said.

He also challenged the county government to avoid practicing nepotism and corruption when selecting employees.

He said governor Okoth Obado should consider constructing an industry that can process tobacco within the county because Migori County produces tobacco in large scale and there’s no need of transporting it to Thika.

He pledged to ensure youths unemployment is dealt with if elected.
