But Migori civil servants have opposed the plan saying that is a ploy to protect ghost workers that has been robbing county millions of money four years after devolution.

They termed the move as a PR gimmick and PROs and Chief Officers should be brought to task by Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission why they had ghost workers as their staff.

Kenya civil servant secretary, Migori branch Ondiek Magadi top officers should explain how they have been dealing with ghost workers.

“Bring anti-corruption sleuths not this head count which only wastes time,” he said.
His secretary Alex Otieno said they want the county to reveal the result of the head count done using BVR on August last year.

“If they are really committed in weeding ghosts as they claim what happen to the last exercise? The same officers who employ ghosts cant weed them out,” Otieno said.
