Shock has gripped Bondo Nyironge villagers after a 31 years old gambler committed suicide after losing Sh9,000 in a poll game.

Kennedy Okinyi travel all the way and committed suicide at Nyamome dam after he went missing for two days.

Peter Oganda, the father to the deceased said his son left home after losing the amount when he told his wife he was heading to Migori.

He said the search for the body came after his clothes were found near Nyamome dam on Saturday last week by the locals that had gone to fetch water for domestic use.

It’s reported that a cousin to the deceased also died in the same dam several years back ago.

Wasweta 2 sub location chief Millicent Atieno Tinga confirmed the incident, the body was taken to Migori county referral hospital mortuary.
