Migori senator Ochillo Ayacko defeated Eddy Oketch in last year senate by-elections because Pope Francis blessed his rosary in Vatican City.

Rongo MP Paul Abuor said before he vied again for the senate seat, after losing out in the governor elections in the last general elections Ayacko sought divine intervention in the Catholic Church headquarters.

“It was the Pope himself who blessed Ayacko’s rosary for him to win the senator by-elections,” Abuor said.

He pointed out that the blessing will open for him more doors in the 2022 by-elections.

Both Ayacko and Abuor are members of the church and the two were on Sunday at St. Celestino Oruba Catholic Church in Suna West constituency for a funds drive where they were hosted by area legislator Peter Masara.
