Awendo’s Mulo secondary students afraid after two fire incidences

There is fear among students at Mulo Secondary School in Awendo, which is the sub-county’s school of excellence after two fire incidents within two weeks.

Last week fire broke out in one of the dormitories burning their belonging amounting to over ksh.100, 000.

Two weeks ago the same incident was experienced in the school that left millions of property destroyed when a dormitory was gutted down by fire.

The school deputy principal Kennedy Ouma students are afraid about their safety and they need counselors and psychologists.

He said the inferno that broke up today mid morning when the students were in class consumed property belonging to 35 students that were using the dormitory.

“We managed to put off the fire before it spread off , we are tight on accommodation for the students,” he said.

The school is now appealing to the relevant bodies to help them investigate the cause of the fire.
