After meeting all Suna West principals, Masara distributes NG-CDF bursary to over 4,000 needy students

Suna West MP Peter Masara has distributed NG-CDF bursary to over 4,000 needy students from the constituench.

On January 23, the legislator distributed the amount across all four wards of Oruba-Ragana, Wiga, Wasimbete and Wasweta 2.

This comes only days after the legislator organised a meeting at Vannah Hotel between him, NG-CDF officials and rents and education stakeholders including principals and schools board chairs.

“We started off with a review of academic standards and results of KCSE and KCPE of last year, we placed more goals for this year,” Masara said.

He said out of bursary allocation, Sh15m will go to Suna West schools to boost standarda.

“We have been on an upward trend for the last three years both for KCSE and KCPE and am happy in terms of population growth of student from the year 2021- 2023 we have seen growth in number of enrolment for both girls and boys and even performance,” Masara said.

He added that as a constituency they look on the way forward on the new education system CBC and on how it’s should be managed.

“We will not only improve education standards in Suna West, but also see on how we can improve the results further in compliance with the 100 percent transection,” he said.

“Am very happy with our principals and performance of our schools and we have agreed that we are going to work together as family and am encouraging parents to work hand in hand with teachers so that the performance can continue improving each and every year by allowing each and every stakeholder to play their role,” he added.
