Rongo MP Paul Abuor has donated Sh1m in cash to help fight Covid-19 in Migori.

Abuor said the donation was laid from his personal donation and help from friends and family.

“We have raised the amount to help fight the virus in Migori and will be channeled through governor Okoth Obado,” Abuor said.

The legislator said before issuing the amount through county resource mobilisation team, he will meet with Obado.

“We will tour the Rongo health center to help in accessing the best isolation or treatment center for Covid-19. The donation will help in setting it up,” Abuor said.

Legislator said the gesture to work with Obado will help in development and pass message that during such crisis politics should take a back seat.

He was speaking in Rongo town on July 7.
