Three suspects linked to the death a boda boda rider established as Evance Onyango who was murdered yesterday night were today morning lynched by irate member of the public in a retaliatory attack in North Kamagmabo location, Rongo Sub County, Migori County.

The irate mob also bunt down four houses belonging to the suspects including one who escaped the public wrath.

Confirming the incident Rongo Deputy county commissioner Mr. Joseph Satia said the family of the boda boda operator killed yesterday managed to identify one of the suspects linked to the murder and lynched him before reaching two other suspects.

He said the first suspect murdered by the mob arrived at the murder scene with blood stained shirt and he confessed to be among the murderers after several minutes of interrogation by the villagers.

Mr. Satia said one of the suspect identified as Jacob Ombeta managed to escape from the angry mob that was pursing him though they torched his house.

His sentiment was echoed by Migori county police commander Mr. David Kirui who said that the police are yet to establish the cause of the death.

Mr.Kirui said they have launched an investigation into the fateful incident to ensure that justice is done, urging the members of the public to maintained peace.

Meanwhile North Kamagambo ward representative Hon.Richard Solo is now appealing to the police to establish a police post in the region.

Hon.Solo said similar cases of mob justice has been rampant in the region and therefore there is need to have the police post nearer so that they can always respond expeditiously when such incidences occurred.
