Rahab Robi, the ODM nominated MCA in county assembly has joined the race to replace Kuria East MP Shadrak Manga in 2017 after steeping down in last polls..

Robi is also the constituency ODM chairperson in previous grass root elections after flooring Robert Chacha Shantawa.

On Saturday Robi donated a wheelchair to Bibiana Marwa, Shantawa’s mother, from Gibarori center of Nyabasi West ward.

She also had several meet-the-people tour to popularize her bid insisting her political move follows pressure from locals who need fair distribution of resources above the strong Bwirege and Nyabasi clans.

Manga, the Kanu national vice-chairman has been ailing and won’t vie next year, but his close associates say he will sponsor a candidate.

Other candidates Deputy Governor Mwita Mahanga, Kiambu county executive Wilson Marwa, IT specialized Tyson Kemege, Amos Mariba a deputy county commissioner and Gitiama, the son of former area legislator.
