VACANCIES
Migori County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions as per the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the County Government Act No.17 of 2012.

ICT OFFICER, WEB ADMINISTRATION, JG “K”: – ONE (1) POST REF: MCPSB 112/2015

(a) Duties and responsibilities:
1. Developing, implementing and maintaining of web-based applications, web sites and portals for the county government
2. Oversee the administration of county government’s shared web servers, web hosting and email services
3. Ensuring website consistency and conformity to laid down standards and guidelines.
4. Liase with the communication division to oversee county government’s social media presence
5. Ensuring that current and future web-based applications are convenient and user friendly
6. Upgrading and maintenance of web system performance by analyzing and monitoring performance tuning.
7. Carrying out any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
(b) Requirements for appointments
1. Be a Kenyan citizen
2. Be a holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field from a recognized institution.
3. Computer certification software development, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Web Programming skills are desirable.
4. Have expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as JavaScript, JQuery and API’s
5. Functional knowledge on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP etc)
6. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
(c) Terms of Service: Permanent/Contract

2. Hand delivered applications should be dropped at the offices of the Migori County Public Service Board located at Msomi Teachers’ College in Migori County.

3. All applications should reach the Chairman Migori County Public Service Board on or before Friday 21st August, 2015.
4. Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original Identity Cards, Academic and Professional Certificates and testimonials.
5. For candidates to meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, applicants must obtain the following clearance:
 Tax Compliance Certificate from KRA
 Clearance Certificate from HELB
 Clearance Certificate from Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (EACC)
 Certificate of Good Conduct from Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
