VACANCIES
Migori County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions as per the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the County Government Act No.17 of 2012.

DEPUTY DIRECTOR, GENDER AND EQUALITY, JG “Q”: ONE (1) POST) MCPSB / 106/2015

Reporting to the Director, Gender and Equality, the Deputy Director will be responsible for implementation of Gender and Equality policies and programmes in Migori County:

(a) Duties and Responsibilities
1. Implementation of Gender and Equality Policies and programmes
2. Conduct of audits on the status of special interest groups including minorities, marginalized groups, persons with disabilities (PWDs), women, youth and children in
3. Developments of work plans and budgets;
4. Implementations of work plans,
5. Organize Public Education Programmes on gender issues in Migori County;
6. Generation of Gender Data Sheet;
7. Establishment of Gender Units,
8. Carry out any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.

(b) Requirements for Appointment
1. Be a Kenyan citizen;
2. Be a holder of at least a Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or Gender and Development from a university recognized in Kenya;
3. At least three (3) years’ working experience in gender responsive environment;
4. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

(c) Terms of Service: Permanent/Contract

2. Hand delivered applications should be dropped at the offices of the Migori County Public Service Board located at Msomi Teachers’ College in Migori County.

3. All applications should reach the Chairman Migori County Public Service Board on or before Friday 21st August, 2015.
4. Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original Identity Cards, Academic and Professional Certificates and testimonials.
5. For candidates to meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, applicants must obtain the following clearance:
 Tax Compliance Certificate from KRA
 Clearance Certificate from HELB
 Clearance Certificate from Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (EACC)
 Certificate of Good Conduct from Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
