Migori Covid19 control team on Sunday arrested and placed in forced quarantine a resident who had recently travelled from Germany,

County health executive in a local radio station said police officers confirmed that man had arrived from Germany, a country with report cases of the virus and did not report the matter.

“The patient is placed at isolation ward in Migori Referral Hospital and is in a stable condition, our medics are still watching him closely,” Oluoch said.

He said last Thursday, a young man who arrived from Malaysia called the Covd19 prevention team and was diagnosed.

“He showed no symptoms and tgether with the family he has been placed under self quarantine,” she aid.

Last week another patient from Dubai went into self quarantine before calling the Covid19 team in the county to be checked and samples taken.

“Samples came back and they were negative, there is still no confirmed case of Coronavirus in Migori,” she said.
