Divers search for missing bodies in River Kuja

The search for two people who drowned on Sunday in River Kuja, Uriri has retrieved a body.

North Kanyamkago Chief Milton Otieno said the body of Michael Otieno was found by the residents who have pitched camps along the river.

“The body was spotted floating in  West Kanyamkago, two kilometers from where the tragedy occurred,” Otieno said.

“We are upbeat that the other missing body will be recovered as they normally float three days after they go missing.” he added.

On Sunday, locals pitched camps in search of the two men who drowned as they crossed River Kuja after a night vigil in the area.
