The meeting, was to iron out a split between North Kanyamkago MCA George Omamba and Bukira East MCA Mathews Chacha over deputy speaker post.

Omamba, according to sources, came with a stay order as the Deputy Speaker after he was ejected earlier for the position to be filled by Chacha.

“We are aware of the order, we had to be very keen to ensure we get the latest orders on the position before we table the motion,” a MCA told Migori News.

MCAs said after DCIO and EACC officers increased their activities at the assembly, including currently holed as we are positing this, it was clear Speaker Boaz Okoth, Obado’s assembly right hand man may not be available.

“We have a very strong indication that we wont have Boaz in the area for long, we need to have the table discussed by a legal person,” a MCA said.

Omamba, former Obado ally and his MCA, has been in corridors of justice for long to get his deputy speaker post for long.
