Robi insists Kuria will be a Jubilee zone as he opens new Kehancha KMTC

The only Jubilee Alliance Party legislator in Luo Nyanza, Mathias Robi has said the Kuria community will vote for the coalition as a block in the forthcoming election.

The Kuria West MP under URP, has said the Kuria region will be the launching pad to ensure Jubilee wrestle votes from the Cord stronghold.

He said by voting for URP and Kanu candidates under Shadrack Manga in Kuria West and Kuria East respectively, the region has proven they will not follow the wave in the region.

“The way for the Kuria community to develop is by working closely with the government and JAP will is guaranteed of a comfortable second term,” Robi told Kuria elders and community leaders in Kehancha town on Thursday.

The Kuria community split their votes between Cord and Jubilee in presidential elections despite Cord forcing the Luo community to enter into a power sharing deal with the community.

He was speaking at Kehancha District Hospital where he commissioned the construction of a new Kenya Medical Training College which will serve Migori and Narok counties.

“I met Deputy President William Ruto two weeks ago and he agreed to start the medical college in Kehancha, this can only happen if the community votes in Jubilee which is assured of a second term,” he said.

The new college will be on a six acre farm next to Kehancha District Hospital.

He said by working closely with the government, the community reaped big during the recent appointment of parastatal heads.

“Just in less than three years I have managed to open a Technical Institute in Mabera and ensure the current tarmacking of Migori-Kehancha-Ntimaru road and Isebania-Kehancha-Ntimaru roads,” he said.

He said the government has also accepted to extend tarmacking of the road to cover streets in Kehancha town.

“Kuria community must move away from politics of abusing elected leaders and cast their ballot as a bloc for Jubilee,” he said.

His sentiments follows similar boost on March 27 when two JAP legislators, Benjamin Lang’at (Ainamoi) and Leonard Sang (Bureti East) during Kuria West education day said Robi will be their point man in South Nyanza.

Robi toured visited CDF development projects worth Sh18million in Isebania, Ikerege, Getong’anya and Ngisiru where he was MCAs Mathew Chacha (Bukira East) and Abedi Maroa (Masaba)
