Migori County leaders condole with Raila, Kenya over Fidel’s death

A cross section of Migori County leaders have sent heart felt messages to Cord leader Raila Odinga and Kenyans after the death of Fidel Odinga.

Fidel passed on at his Karen home on Sunday after a night out with friends.

Governor Okoth Obado, Uriri MP John Kobado and his Nyatike counterpart Edick Anyanga said the demise has deeply saddened them.

Migori politicians Anne Omodho Anyanga and Omondi Gwonyo have also passed their heartfelt messages.

“Let me take this opportunity on behalf of Migori County to express my heartfelt condolences to the family of former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga over the sudden death of son Fidel Odinga,” Obado said in a press statement sent to Migori News.

Nyatike’s Edick Anyanga said the country and Odinga family has lost “a young and energetic Kenyan whose demise is a great loss,”

Anne Omodho Anyanga said Fidel was a humble, loving and generous young man who never discriminated against people and the loss is a big blow to Cord alliance.

“We mourn as a country and the loss is felt across political, tribal and ethnic in Kenya,” Anne said.

Hon Eng. John Kobado on behalf of Uriri constituents and Migori ODM supporters said he learnt of the demise of Fidel Odinga with utmost sadness, grief and sorrow.

“We enjoin the family in mourning and we pray God to give strength to the entire Odinga family during this trying moment,” Kobado told Migori News.

Gwonyo on the other hand called in to say Gor Mahia football club and Rugby fans will miss Fidel who personally contributed his resources to boost sports.
