Migori governor Okoth Obado has termed claims that he is among those financing the operation of Labour Party of Kenya currently headed by former ODM secretary Hon. Ababu Namwamba as cheap propaganda.

Speaking to a local vernacular station, Obado said he is not even aware of who heads LPK insisting he had already defected to ODM to stay.

Earlier rumours on social media said he was among LPK financiers.

“I have never met Ababu and he has never been in the county, I only see his movement on the press,” he said.

Meanwhile governor Obado has said he will battle for ODM ticket to seek for his reelection saying that blocking party hopping is not a threat to his political ambition .

He however called for a free and fair ODM party primaries so that the party ticket given to those deserve it.
