The missing Kisumu West MCA Paul Odhiambo Okwiri, 43, was found on Friday night barefoot and confused in Nyarach area, Rongo sub-county.

Okwiri was found by a boda boda operator who said he begged him to be taken to the nearest police station after missing from Thursday evening.

Rongo OCPD Jonathan Kisaka told Migori News the MCA said he was kidnapped at about 11pm at Sinyolo village while driving home when three people emerged from nearby bushes.

“He was forced out of his vehicle into a nearby vehicle driven by a lady before he was blindfolded and driven away,” Kisaka said.

He added that Okwiri was in good condition and refused to give any more information that can negatively affect their investigation.

Okwiri was among a team of MCAS investigating missing Ward Development Fund in excess of Sh100million.
His constituents earlier on Friday demonstrated and destroyed a home belonging to a Kisumu County Chief officer they accused of abducting him.
