Migori governor Ochillo Ayacko has downplayed plans by government to withdraw his official secueity saying he is feeling like any other county resident.

He said he was “feeling as safe as anybody in Migori county,” insisting he can still draw security services from county government and members of the public.

Speaking to the press in Migori town on Tuesday he said he received a phone call that his security provided by the national government had been re-deployed to Nairobi.

“I received a call from my security that they had received directions to report to Nairobi, I don’t know what they are up to but I don’t give a damn,” Ayacko said.

He said that he hoped security withdrawn from opposition leaders will be used to provide services of protecting demonstrators tomorrow in three day call by opposition.

“I pray that people of Migori are given security, as for me I am good I don’t want to engage in any dangerous activity or hurt anybody, I am a peace loving Kenyan,” he saud.

He said most demonstrations are safe but because of hard stance language from national government officers it often turn chaotic.
