He said after the talks between government and opposition, they outlined their demands to have the high cost of living reduced by having taxes and levies reduced in food items and fuel which was ignored.

“As opposition we will keep the government in check to lower the high cost of living which is their responsibility, we gave our recommendations and they said they will tackle it at their own time and means,” Odinga said.

He said calls to reduce high cost of living will still be the main agenda of the opposition party.

He was speaking when he was hosted by Awendo MP Walter Owino to meet elders from the constituency, be a guest at Awendo NG-CDF games and held a joint rally with other party leaders in Awendo town.
