Awendo police have warbed politicians against hiring youths to cause chaos in rallies and funerals after ugly scenes last week.

Area police boss David Kinyua said they are mapping out politicians causing chaos to bring it to an end just before full blown campaigns.

Last week area MP Jared Kopiyo and Migori county executive for lands Elizabeth Ochaye were whisked away after supporters of Governor Okoth Obado and aspirant Ochilo Ayako violently clashed injuring five people.

Chaos began immediately after Kopiyo gave his speech at Manyatta secondary school and called Ayako who also called his agent Nick Onyango Brown.

Brown took the podium to accuse Obado’s supporter Mark Ogol over a statement he made about Rongo MP Dalmas Otieno.

“Ochilo is not your age mate and their political differences with the Rongo MP Dalmas Otieno had been sorted and a mention of it is misplaced,” Nick said in part.

This angered Ogol who tried to move to the podium causing chaos.

Kopiyo and Elizabeth silently left the venue as the fight brawled in a hustle without submitting their contributions.

Barely a month ago had a funeral program in North Kamagambo had to be disrupted when the two factions engaged each other to political supremacy.

Awendo MP Jared Kopiyo and the guest of honor is also Alego Usonga parliamentary aspirant Samwel Atangi condemned the incident saying the organizers ought to have made proper security arrangements for a gathering of such multitude.

Kopiyo at the same time warned aspirants against incitements and utterances that may lead to anarchy for cheap political mileage.

“As the senior most political leader in the constituency, I will not tolerate hell bent leaders out to tarnish the image of this constituency by shading blood of innocent electorates. I urge security personnel to be on the look out and promptly bring to book the perpetrators of this noble course, “warned Kopiyo.

On his part Ochilo distanced himself from the disorder assuring the Migori county residents of peaceful campaigns advising other aspirants against misusing the youths and instead engage them in activities that can empower them economically.
