Migori town traders want Obado to ensure stalled market is completed, town expanded

Migori town have called on governor Okoth Obado to ensure the market project which has aatlled due to lack of funds is completed.

They have also called for end of congestion within Migori town challenging the governor to ensure more land is allocated for expansion.

Speaking to Migori News, the Migori branch National Chamber of Commerce chairman Samuel Rumo said the town is congested which has seen investors to prefer other towns in the county for business.

“Migori will take longer to realize economic growth unleass we get more land for expansion,” he said.

Rumo said it’s unfortunate that other smaller towns within the county are experiencing rapid growth in trade while Migori town remains stagnant.

“We also need the stalled project of constructing a modern market in town to be completed with speed,” he said.

He also challenged the county government to boost the poor sanitation within town.
