Police in Rongo have arrested three most wanted criminals who are held at Kamagambo Police Station and believed to be behind insecurity wave in the area.
The fake officer Jeff Omondi, was arrested while wearing full police combat uniform. While a naked 16 years old secondary school girl was found in a house during the raid.
A Rongo University Student managed to escape through the window but left behind his students ID which has seen a police manhunt for him being launched.
Another suspect handed himself over to police when he realized villagers were baying for his blood.
Rongo OCPD Jonathan Kisaka said the gang has been terrorizing locals and had just raid a house in Nyarach area.
“The officer was arrested at Graca Hotel after a tip off before taking us to his hideout,” Kisaka said,
Several stolen items were recovered as crowd were baying for the suspects blood.
The OCPD promised his officer will leave no stone unturned to solve insecurity issues
In fact we are together in this for they have been molesting the locals and may the security be tightened and the source of the uniforms be known since I believe there must be some officers behind this from the stations around.
