REGISTERED CLINICAL OFFICERS – VACANCY NO. MOH/FACES/MIGORI-01-16

• Must have a mean grade of C plain and above in K.C.S.E.
• MUST have at least a Diploma in Clinical Medicine from Kenya Medical Training College or any other recognized institution with a valid practicing license
• The candidates should be trained in ART Adherence counselling and have skills/ knowledge in counselling in the context of HIV/AIDS.
• The candidates should have at least one year experience in HIV clinical care including anti-retroviral.
• Must be willing to work in any facility within the County.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Provide care and prescribe treatment for patients within the facility.
• Conduct Physical exams
• Order appropriate investigations and prescribe the drugs
• Refer clients accordingly
• Will be involved in hospital and home visits for patients
• Training and mentoring of other clinical staff.
• Offer HIV counselling, care and support to the patients at the facility level.
• Maintain patients ‘confidentiality.
• Maintain good relationships with the management team, patients, and entire community at large.
• Attend facility meetings, CMEs and MDTs.

NURSE CLINICIAN VACANCY NO. MOH/FACES/MIGORI-02-16

Key Requirements

• Must have a mean grade of C plain and above in K.C.S.E.
• Be a registered Nursing Officer i.e must have a Diploma in KRCHN from Kenya Medical Training College.
• Nursing Officers should be trained in ART Adherence counselling, have skills and knowledge in counselling in the context of HIV/AIDS.
• At least one year experience in HIV clinical care including anti retroviral.
• Must be registered with Nursing Council and posses a valid practising licence.

Skills and Abilities:

• Must be a team player, motivator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must have the ability to multi task, resolve problems and be very flexible.
• Those with computer skills will have added advantage
• Must have interest in working in innovative and demanding rural facilities

Duties and responsibilities:

• Will be involved in triaging of patients
• Counselling and clinical care under supervision i.e handle aspects such as nutrition, hygiene, adherence, child counselling, assisted disclosure and psychosocial counselling.
• Will be involved in hospital and home visits
• Provide integrated PMTCT services at targeted MCHCs
• Follow up of infected children bellow 5 years of age

PAEDIATRIC NURSE COUNSELORS – VACANCY NO. MOH/FACES/MIGORI-03-16

Key Requirements

• Must have a mean grade of C plain and above in K.C.S.E.
• MUST have at least a Diploma in Nursing from Kenya Medical Training College or any other recognized institution with a valid practicing license
• The candidates should be trained in ART Adherence counselling and have skills/ knowledge in counselling in the context of HIV/AIDS.

• Screen for, identify and support children with potential barriers to treatment adherence
• Provide needed Psychosocial support to paediatrics on ART
• Offer care and treatment services to the patients within the facility.
• Offer HIV counselling, care and support to the patients at the facility level.
• Complete and maintain relevant registers and forms as required.
• Compile necessary reports at the right time as stipulated.

VIRAL LOAD CHAMPION – VACANCY NO. MOH/FACES/MIGORI-04-16

Key Requirements
• Must have a mean grade of C plain and above in K.C.S.E.
• MUST have at least a Diploma in Clinical Medicine from Kenya Medical Training College or any other recognized institution with a valid practicing license
• The candidates should be trained in ART Adherence counselling and have skills/ knowledge in counselling in the context of HIV/AIDS.

• Must be willing to work in any facility within the County.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Daily conduct chart reviews to ensure all eligible patients have a viral load test
• Track the viral load results and ensure timely relaying of results at facility level
• He/she will spearhead Multi-Disciplinary Team review of the patients with detectable vial load and follow up on proposed interventions.
• He will also be expected to provide care and treatment services to patients in the clinic including physical exams, prescription of drugs, home and hospital reviews
• He will Train and mentor other clinical staff.

DiCe CLINICIAN –VACANCY NO. MOH/FACES/MIGORI-05-16

Key requirements

• Must have a mean grade of C plain and above in K.C.S.E.
• MUST have at least a Diploma in Clinical Medicine from Kenya Medical Training College or any other recognized institution with a valid practicing license
• The candidates should be trained in ART Adherence counselling and have skills/ knowledge in counselling in the context of HIV/AIDS.
• The candidates should have at least one year experience in HIV clinical care including anti-retroviral.
• Should be willing to work in an environment that provides care to Key populations in the context of HIV

Skills and Abilities

• Must be a team player, self-motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be flexible, willing to adjust and integrate into DiCe activities.
• Training in PHDP, Advocacy for HIV Prevention or other relevant training will be an added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities:

• He/She will be responsible for provision of comprehensive HIV Care and treatment services at selected Drop In Centres for Key Populations, including:
• Clinical reviews including history and physical exam
• Prescribing treatment as needed
• Ordering appropriate investigations including timely Viral load testing Refer clients accordingly
• Training and mentoring of other health workers within the DiCe
• Maintain patient’s dignity and confidentiality

PeMCHR NURSES – VACANCY NO. MOH/FACES/MIGORI-06-16

Key Requirements

VIRAL TRACKING OFFICER -LABORATORY TECHNOLOGISTS VACANCIES NUMBER MOH/FACES/MIGORI 07-16

• Must have a mean grade of C plain and above in K.C.S.E.
• MUST have at least a Diploma in medical laboratory science from Kenya Medical Training College or any other recognized institution with a valid practicing license
• Must be registered with KMLTTB
• Additional training in QA/QC and GCLP will be an added advantage
• At least 2 years’ experience preferably within a busy HIV care program.
• Basic computer use and common software packages i.e. word, excel, access and internet
• The position requires a self-motivated flexible individual who can work independently to improve lab operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, pro-active, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Will integrate with the existing Ministry of health staff to help in achieving the granulated facility target in all the PEPFAR programmatic areas.
• Ensure that clients eligible for viral load samples are collected, transported and tracked to ensure that the results get back to the facility
• Ensure CD4s are done for all eligible patients
• Where there is POC CD4 machines stationed at far to reach facilities, staff will move with the PIMA machines to facilities within the region on clinic days to ensure that all eligible clients are done for CD4 in real time to determine eligibility.
• Ensure that all health facility viral load samples are collected, separated and safely transported to the diagnostic laboratories and track results.
• Preform all routine and technical laboratory analysis and quality assurance given that all the labs ad fully integrated

HTS COUNSELORS VACANCY NO: MOH/FACES/MIGORI-08-16

Key Requirements

• Must have a mean grade of at least C minus and above in KCSE
• Must have HTC certificate certified by NASCOP
• Must have been trained in HTC new algorithm training
• Must have at least one year experience in HIV testing and counselling
• Those with medical laboratory skills, counsellor supervision skills, couple and paediatric counselling skills will have an added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide confidential HIV counseling and testing to persons at risk for HIV infection as per Kenyan HTC national Guidelines.
• Must ensure that all strategies within the facility and targeted community areas (following of children of index patients) are implemented to achieve high yield.
• Must be able to meet the daily set targets for the site i.e must test 15 patients in a day
• Provide special group counseling e.g couples, discordant couples, youths and adolescents.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of the patient’s information within the facility.
• Must be able to link all newly identified HIV positive patients identified to care and treatment services
• Writing and submitting monthly and quarterly reports to the supervisors

HTS TRIAGE OFFICERS VACANCY NO: MOH/FACES/MIGORI-09-16

Key Requirements

• Must have a mean grade of at least C minus and above in KCSE
• Must have HTC certificate certified by NASCOP
• Must have been trained in HTC new algorithm training
• Must have at least one year experience in HIV testing and counselling

Duties and Responsibilities

He/she will be primarily responsible for determining eligibility for testing of patients seeking outpatient/inpatient services at Faces supported sites

• He /She will on a daily basis update the inpatient/outpatient tracking registers
• He /She will appropriately refer those eligible for testing to designated counselors and ensure no missed opportunities
• As need arises and depending on the workload he/she will be expected to provide HIV Testing and counseling services as per Kenyan HTC national Guidelines
• He /She will be expected to write weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to the HTS sup
DATA CLERKS VACANCY NO. MOH/FACES/MIGORI-10-16

Key Requirements

• Must have a mean grade of at least D plus and above in KCSE.
• Must have at least a Diploma in computer studies/ information technology.
• Must have one year experience in data entry, those with experience in Open MRS/Kenya EMR system will have added advantage.
• Must have good interpersonal skills, very flexible and a team player.

Duties and responsibilities
• Carry out the data entry in the Open MRS/Kenya EMR system within the facility.
• Must be able to meet the daily set data entry target for the site.
• Must ensure data quality is adhered to
• Must be able to maintain confidence of the patients’ information within the facility.
• Will be reporting to the Sub county data quality officer at the sub county
• Work closely with the SCHRIO, facility in charges and other MOH staff to ensure for provision of quality HIV services and increasing MOH ownership and capacity

RECORDS CLERK MO

Key Requirements
• Must have a mean grade of at least D plus and above in KCSE • Possess a Diploma in front office, social science, or any other related qualifications
• Certificate in computer science (Proficiency in MS Office software) is a must
• At least one year’s experience in a busy reception, preferably health facility setting
• Must have good interpersonal skills, very flexible and a team player

Duties and responsibilities

• Custodian of client file and ensures that the client’s file is available at the records office
• Receiving and directing patients, receiving patient’s cards and directing them accordingly.
• Balance the client bookings and advise other providers on the booking limits.
• Customer care person-leads and directs all the visitors, takes the inquiries/ issues and handle professionally.
• Should start work before other staff and end the work after other staff
• Working with telephone switchboard; directing incoming calls and outgoing calls
• Handle the file flow in the clinic during work and make sure that all the clients are served before closing
• Controlling the client waiting bay and ensures that they have enough seats and any emergency is reported to the right person
• To receive letters, parcels and correspondences and register.
• Real time data entry for both incoming and outgoing clients’ with the use of Open MRS/ Kenya EMR
• Ensure they check in and checkout patients using reception module
• Retrieve reports from reception module
• Maintaining patient files and repairing worn out files
• Pulling out of clients files checked in for the day and moving them to various departments
• Daily filing of laboratory results into client’s personal file and refilling back.

HEALTH RECORDS AND INFORMATION TECHNICIAN VACANCY NO. MOH/FACES/MIGORI-12-2016

Key Requirements
• Minimum certificate in Health Records & Information Management from a recognized government Institution or Health Management information system (HMIS)
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in data management roles within the HIV program
• Proficiency in computer packages for generating and analysing reports
• Working knowledge of PERFAR funded programs and reporting requirements will be important
• Documented evidence of HIV/AIDS M&E training as part of continuing professional development
• Familiar with and experience in NASCOP/MOH reporting requirements and data collection tools
• Must understand PEPFAR reporting requirements; has very clear understanding of essential indicators and is familiar with indicator reporting requirement

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist the M&E data officer to ensure regular, complete, accurate, timely and quality monitoring reports from health facilities on all required indicators
• Work closely with the FACES project sub county technical team to manage all DHIS and DATIM data entry related activities
• Work very closely with the Facility staff and M&E data officers to ensure timely collection, collation, analysis and transmission of information to the MOH systems (DHIS)
• Review collated data, share and raise queries with technical team as appropriate, follow up to ensure the queries are appropriately addressed and resolved
• Under the guidance of the M&E data officer and working closely with the Quality Improvement Program Officer, conduct regular data quality assessments and incorporate these into routine program monitoring to ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Participate in other clinical quality improvement initiatives at supported health facilities
• Conduct periodic site visits in liaison with the project technical team to provide feedback, monitor progress, address challenges, and build Capacity to staff to use Data for planning and decision making
• Under the guidance of the Sub county M&E data team, participate in the review meetings at facility level and sub county level.
• Ensure all facilities routinely update the DHIS dashboards within the facilities to track their progress
• Represent the FACES Technical working Group meetings and participate as appropriate
• Enter all project data and upload into DATIM and DHIS and any other FACES databases in a
Timely manner
• Be the EMR champion for the facility deployed
