Nairobi based lawyer Jack Okula has insisted he will be in the August 8 polls as a NASA candidate.

Speaking to Migori News on the phone today, the lawyer said he has been silently building networks in the constituency to move through with his bid.

“Suna West constituency can’t have all their hopes thrown in a single party basket and need more opinion in the polls,” he said.

He claimed that already the winner of the ODM ticket may be predetermined to make the exercise to be futile.

He did not specify the exact party he will use in the polls as the incumbent Joseph Ndiege is already facing mounting pressure from increasing number of competitors.

Another aspirant who will keep away from ODM nominations is Samuel Migore, the current county Ford Kenya chairman.

On Tuesday Migori county executive for Education Michael Ogutu officially resigned and had a roadshow across the cosmopolitan constituency to roll out his bid on an ODM ticket.

The former primary school head teacher before being nominated to the county said Ndiege has performed poorly in managing the CDF kitty, a rallying call by other opponents.

Ndiege has also been accused of being silent in the assembly and thus not representing Suna West adequately.

Other ready to face off for the seat are former Migori mayor Peter Masara who came second in last poll ODM primaries, United Nations consultant Ben Migore, businessmen Philip Mwabe and Valentine Ogongo.
