Uriri MP aspirant Omondi Gwonyo has told off Raila Odinga’s former aide Eliud Owalo over his remarks on Kibra parliamentary race.

Gwonyo said Owalo’s remarks claiming on plans to impose Raila’s daughter Rosemary on residents as a Jubilee plot against the opposition.

Last week Owalo’s remarks created jitters after he wrote saying any plan is full of disdain and “one is left wondering about the rationale behind the recent invitation by the party for prospective candidates for all elective positions to submit their applications.”

Rosemary has not out rightly declared her interest for the seat but her political maneuvers, in the constituency previously led by her father, have left tongues wagging.

“Rosemary like any other person has a right for vying in any political seat and Owalo should not use this to distract our attention,” Gwonyo told Migori News.

Gwonyo said Owalo “was among people who cost the ODM party the presidential vote by messing up the nomination and payment of agents.”

“Owalo is the last person within ODM to talk of free and fair nominations, he should retract the statement and apologise to the party leader,” he said.

On September Owalo also attacked Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, Raila’s second in command, against endorsing candidates in Nairobi.

“I advise that you devote your weekend’s political activities in Nairobi solely and exclusively to marketing Raila Odinga 2017,” he told the Governor.
