Raila to tour Migori this Friday to counter Uhuru’s visit

Cord leader Raila Odinga will tour Migori county this Friday to counter the visit by president Uhuru Kenyatta in the region last Saturday.

Uhuru was by Rongo MP Dalmas Otieno at his Kangeso rural home during the burial of his daughter, a function which Raila avoided.

Raila will first attend veteran politician Phares Oluoch Kanindo burial at Komolo Rume in Awendo town.
His procession will later snake its way from Awendo before he will address a huge rally at Migori County Stadium in Migori town.

His tour is expected to counter rebellion in the county against ODM party after Dalmas and Migori governor Okoth Obado publically decamped Cord to work with Jubilee.

Preparation for the visit are in top gear and done by ODM leaders led by county secretary Joseph Olala, Nyatike MP Edick Anyanga and his Suna East counterpart Junet Mohammed.

Earlier today local ODM leaders met for preparations of the tour in Migori town to offer logistics and security.

Speaking to Migori News Anyanga said that the Migori town tour will usher a series of countrywide public rallies that will culminate into Saba Saba rally at Kamukunji Grounds in Nairobi on July 7.

The rallies will then proceed to Kisii on June 20 and in Kakamega a day later. The leaders will also travel in Nakuru (June 22), Garissa (June 25), Elodret (June 28), Kisumu (July 5) and Machakos (July 6).
