All Migori bars will be closed a day to elections for maximum turnout- Police boss

Migori county police has alerted business premises selling alcohol to close shop a day to elections.

Migori county police commander Mark Wanjala said on August 8, a day to elections by 5pm all alcohol joints will be closed.

“We call on traders to comply with the order on time and ensure maximum voter turnout,” Wanjala said.

Wanjala also called on politicians not to give alcohol to youths and voters on the eve of elections.

He was speaking in Migori town in a peace meeting organised by International Republican Institute.
