Several Migori county ward representatives have told off Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang against insults on Rongo MP Dalmas Otieno who has rebelled against Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party.
Led by Majority leader and Central Sakwa member Johnstone Owiro, the MCAs warned Kajwang against branding political leaders who were working with the government as moles.
The leaders, Unita Kokeyo(nominated) Richard Solo (North Kamagambo), Joshua Ongoma (East Kamagambo) and John Kennedy Omondi (youth representative to the Assembly) were speaking at Opapo Primary school during a fund raiser.
They said that Kajwang was taking advantage of his closeness to the party leader Raila Odinga to undermine development minded leaders from Nyanza.
Earlier Kajwang had said Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero and Dalmas were ‘moles’ being used by the ruling Jubilee Coalition to undermine the Orange party.
They said Kajwang’ has performed poorly in development and told him to be concerned on South Nyanza welfare instead of cheap politics.
Owiro told the senator to be wary of some leaders who wanted to create divisions in the party by promoting tribalism and unnecessary strife.
“Leaders like Kajwang have been creating conflict so as they can be seen as the only ones who are representing interests of the Orange party to either be side lined or made to account for their irresponsible utterances,” said Owiro.
Solo on his side blamed Kajwang for the internal wrangles that have been rocking the party in the recent past prior to the abortive party elections in Nairobi.
“He (Kajwang) failed miserably when he was in the cabinet during the Grand Coalition Government and it is through his poor performance records that we can charge him against his continued insults on progressive and development conscious leaders,” Solo said.
They said Kajwang was having an ill-informed motive by portraying himself as the only person loyal to the ODM leader Raila Odinga, but warned he was the one who was endangering the strength of the party.
