Rongo police officers have launched investigations after a fetus was picked a few meters from the Rongo University College clinic.

Area OCPD Thomas Ngeiywa said the fetus was picked by students who reported the matter to the police.

Ngeiywa said the fetus was wrapped in polythene and dumped a few meters from a clinic in the institution.

“We are yet to ascertain who is behind the crime but we have launched investigations on the matter,” he said.

He said the fetus has been taken to Homa Bay Referral mortuary and urged students to come out and help police in investigations.
