(VIDEO) Pentagon Academy hits a 370 mean score, over half of candidates score 350+/500 marks

Pentagon Academy in Migori town had over half of 68 candidates who sat the 2020 KCPE get over 350 marks.

Fredrick Adamba, the Deputy Headteacher said even though they expected a much better results, they were happy with the results where 9 candidates scored 400 marks and above.

“We had a meanscore 370 which is perfect because of Covid 19 disruption, we will better the mark in the forthcoming examinations,” he said.

Joyce Ochupe, the director at the academy said as an institution they were happy with the results and gave thanks to God.

“Our candidates were committed with high healthy competition among themselves which was boosted by teachers and support staff,” she said.

Ochupe said the academy has its foundation rooted in Christian faith which builds on discipline.

The top candidates

Becky Kerubo who got 402 marks said the results will buoy her career journey to persue medicine hoping to be called at Kenya High.

“We managed to achieve this through prayer and hardwork,” she said.

Rooney Valdev, who got 405 marks and Samuel Asada who got 402 marks said they both dream of being called up at Kapsabet Boys and pursue a career in engineering.
